This event has been postponed. Statement from organisers:
Notice of Event change
Having considered the increased risk of fire activity in the southern part of Tasmania over the next few days a decision has been taken to postpone the rally, that was to have occurred on Saturday the 1st of February 2020.
This is not a decision which has been lightly undertaken. Community safety is paramount and is always at the forefront for the UFU and it's members, we want to have available every possible resource should they be needed due to the already limited and over-stretched resources currently available to TFS.
The issues around appropriate resourcing remains a key issue for UFU members, we would like to thank all those UFU and community members who had committed to supporting this event.

Our friends at the United Firefighters Union are holding a community rally on Saturday the 1st of February at Parliament Lawns, Hobart, 12:30pm.
As the country grapples with extreme bushfires, the rally will focus on resource and capability requirements from a Tasmanian firefighter perspective and what needs to be done to deliver better fire protection for the community, business, the built and natural environment.
The UFU will also be raising funds join the day for families who lose a loved one fighting fires.
All community and union members are encouraged show their support by attending.
